The modern power grid faces significant challenges, including climate change, electrification, and the integration of intermittent renewables. To address these challenges, innovative testbeds like DERConnect are crucial. Located at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and funded by the National Science Foundation,
gCore, also known as The Stem Cell Genomics and Microscopy Core (SCGM) at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine at UCSD, occupies 1,730 square feet of laboratory space dedicated to supporting research in stem cell and regenerative medicine. The core is equipped with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) instruments, advanced microscopy facilities, supportive laboratory instruments, and bioinformatics server computers.
