The QX200 Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) System provides absolute quantification of target DNA or RNA molecules for EvaGreen or probe-based digital PCR applications.

Benefits of the QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System

  • Most precise and sensitive digital PCR solution for a wide variety of applications

  • Flexible digital PCR chemistry — optimized for TaqMan Hydrolysis Probe and EvaGreen Assays

  • Flexible assay setup — scalable for high sensitivity or high throughput

  • Simple and easy-to-use workflow with 96-sample throughput

  • Droplet partitioning by the QX200 Droplet Digital technology reduces bias from amplification efficiency and PCR inhibitors

  • Convenient assay design — standard curves are not required

Access Guideline

NOTE: Access to UC Berkeley facilities and services requires university approval which takes as little as 24 hours. First time customers on Second Lab will be prompted to complete approval requirements during checkout. We encourage you to book your 15 minute onboarding with the Second Lab team through the following link: Click here to schedule your onboarding (15 mins)!

Once approved, each user is required to complete instrument-specific training. We have leveraged Bio-Rad to perform the training on the QX200 ddPCR machine historically (free, several times per year). End users are required to bring their own reagents, consumables, and other supplies. A full plate run takes ~6 hours to generate droplets, PCR amplify, and subsequently read on the droplet reader. See listing descriptions for more details.

FAQs

Current pricing is per use -- whether you run one column (8) of samples, or an entire plate. Please be aware that pricing may be updated at any point, and may change in Spring of 2025.
