The Mammalian Cell Culture Facility is equipped with 3 BL-2 laminar flow Hoods, 4 CO2 incubators, centrifuges, epifluorescent/phase/color Zeiss inverted microscope, Evos xl core microscope, water bath, -20C freezer, hemacytometer and Scepter, GentleMACs cell dissociator, and storage space (each lab keeps their own stock of supplies). All cell lines must be checked for mycoplasma infection and report be sent to the facility manager. No viral packaging is performed here but upon approval some viral transduction is allowed with only the single occupant during this process. After virus is no longer infectious (typically 72 hr), cells manipulations are fine with others in the room (for passaging and other experimentation), please discuss with Mary West before bringing ANY new cell line or derivation into the facility.
