This option, RTDS Modeling ONLY, gives you remote access to a computer with RSCAD installed, the software for preparing models to run on the RTDS simulator. Users will have access to tutorials and documentation. This option does not include simulator time and is for users who only need access to RSCAD for training or modelling purposes. Simulator time can be purchased separately.
The DERConnect testbed is equipped with a real-time simulator that is capable of simulating large distribution and transmission networks or high-fidelity models of DER systems. The ability for the simulations to run in real-time enables real power systems to also interact with the simulations through our amplifier.
